A First For That Little Red Dot Republic

Well, this got to be doing Singaporeans proud. In a cautious peek out of the closet, a local Singaporean organiser showcase the Republic's first ever sex exhibition, aptly named SexPo 2005.

Sexpo was more educational then entertaining for the 40000 or so who visited.

A notable highlight, ancient Chinese customs and practices related to sexuality and sexual health.

Others items at Sexpo, sex aids, safe sex practice, love( or what you make of it ), relationships etc.

In another Sexpo first, local producers launch a 35 minute video DVD on the Kama Sutra art of imtimacy.

So was the West promiscuous or did the East charmed them in their hazy colonial days?

More research will be needed.

When There Is A Will There Is A Way

With the discovery of more areas affected by bird flu, Chinese offiicials are saying that they are beginning national vaccinations of poultry. There are an estimated 14 billion poultry in China. It seems like a gargantuan tasks, vaccinating each one of them from bird flu, but as the saying goes, "when there is a will there is a way". Current products of bird flu vaccines are about 100 million doses daily. Productions of bird flu vaccines will naturally need to be step up to meet the objective of national vaccinations of poultry against bird flu.

In a separate development, Vietnam has indicated that they intend to purge two major cities of all poultry to help stem the spread of bird flu.

One more bird dies from H5N1 avian flu

A flamingo succumbed to avain flu and was found dead on a Kuwaiti beach.

The H5N1 virus first appeared in Hong Kong in 1997, causing authorities there to destroyed poultry in the territory. It was curbed then, but re-emerged in December 2003 and has recently spread from Asia to Europe.

Among the countries worst hit are Vietnam and China.

One of the economic impact of bird flu is the mass slaughtering of poultry, giving rise to shortages in some instances.

Human fatalities are now about 60, contracted by close proximity to infected poultry, which is currently the only medium of transfer to humans. Authorities fears a pandemic should the H5N1 mutate into a form transmissible among humans.

However, a possible outcome of this latest round of infections would hopefully be a rise in the standards of poultry farming especially in those areas that are currently affected.

When Not Knowing Your Enemy Can Be Fatal

Drama in the Florida Everglades National Park.

An unusual clash between a 6-foot (1.8m) alligator and a 13-foot (3.9m) python has left two of the deadliest predators dead in Florida's swamps. The Burmese python tried to swallow its fearsome rival whole but then exploded at the mid-section.

Burmese pythons are not natives of the everglades - many of them have been dumped by their owners - have thrived in the wet and hot climate of Florida's swamps over the past 20 years.

Rich man's son or simply out for fun? Today's horrific car crash news

When i looked at home section of ST today,i saw the horrific car crash accident in the news, resulting in a 22 yo sales agent killed terribly, with broken neck & cardiac arrest. May God have mercy on her soul. The car was horribly smashed & twisted from the photo. I wonder how anyone could survive but the young 24 yo man did. God had mercy on him. May he repent of his sins.

I have a poem below:

Rich man's son
or son of a gun
out for fun?
Now he's done!

Poor young girl
May God have mercy on her
Rest in peace
May you enjoy restful bliss!

How in the heaven
could the young moron
able to afford the car
Is he wishing upon a star?

God help us
have mercy on us
May these people wake up
and stop being so stuck up!
